False suspicions and intrigues have led to arrests more than once. Here it was the report of an abandoned husband in Sweden for alleged child abduction.
His wife had turned away from him and was on her way to the grandparents with their son when she was arrested at Frankfurt Airport. The Swedish prosecution authorities had prematurely issued a European arrest warrant on the basis of the charge.
On this basis, the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court (2 AuslA 202/17) initially issued an extradition arrest warrant against our client on this basis, but then revoked it three weeks later on 24 August 2017, after the facts had been clarified and Sweden withdrew the extradition request.
