Extradition to Kazakhstan was out of the question for a long time. But nowadays extradition between the Federal Republic of Germany and Kazakhstan is not entirely excluded. We know at least one case currently pending before a German Higher Regional Court.

There is no extradition agreement between Germany and Kazakhstan but in principle extraditions can still be agreed individually between the states. Kazakhstan is a member of Interpol and definitively uses Interpol's worldwide search system.
