Extradition of German nationals to Jamaica is out of the question. But in general extradition from Germany to Jamaica is possible and may be governed by the German-British extradition agreement of 14 May 1872 (as amended on 23 February 1960) "on the extradition of escaped criminals ", the further applicability of which was reaffirmed by the Government of Jamaica by a verbal note of 29 March 1967.
In the proceedings concerning a possible extradition to Jamaica, however, special provisions apply with regard to endorsements, documents and official seals, etc..
Extradition requests for extradition to Jamaica will be transmitted through diplomatic channels.
Jamaica may request provisional extradition custody through Interpol if extradition to Jamaica is actually expected in Germany in the near future.
