So in principle it is also possible to extradite German nationals to Denmark for prosecution on the basis of a European arrest warrant. In this context, however, the case-law of the German Constitutional Court must be observed, which prescribes special considerations when extraditing Germans within Europe.

Provisional arrest for extradition may be ordered if, in a specific individual case, extradition to Denmark does not appear inadmissible at the time of assessment.
